Brown Engagement

This couple, eager to be married, scheduled their engagement photos with me within a week of the propsal and only 33 days before their wedding date. Senior Photos

Her summers are spent at the beach soaking up the sun. She moves easily in front of the camera, knows how to carry herself, and never feels akward or feels that she is "over-posing." This beach lover lives as far from the beach as you could imagine. Most of her peers have their senior photos taken in the colder climate of Pennsylvania and are often posing with their horses, pets, sports equipment, or 4-wheelers. Her small town has a tradition of exchanging senior photos with each other, much like trading baseball cards, so it was important to capture her in a unique setting. I couldn't ask for a better subject!

Country Quilt

I made this quilt for a dear friend of mine. She just had a boy and I have had some great "boy" fabrics on hand for quite some time. I haven't worked with these particular fabrics in a few years. But I just love the print and the color scheme. And I have to say that I am proud of the finished product. I completed the quilt top on my own and had my mom's help with the backing, the meandering stitch and the binding. My mom has a great machine and she's so fast a finishing the hard stuff for me. So here it is. It was fun having this quilt while in Pennsylvania. The natural backdrop is my parents' yard. They just fit so well together!

Which photo is better?

The Bride

And the beautiful bride: Joni Richards Howe. She is my sister-in-law's, Jamie Nell Cox Shillig, best friend and she married my cousin. If you were wondering! I loved this shot!

And the details! Got to love them!
